After earning her doctorate in psychology, she counseled both individuals and families before turning to the practice of law. She joined the Dallas County District Attorney's office, where she tried more than 125 cases as a litigator for the misdemeanor, felony, and organized crime division. In 1985, Dr. Blue joined the law firm of Baron & Budd, PC. Specializing in environmental and toxic tort law, she has tried over 80 complex toxic tort civil cases to verdict. She became one of the firm's shareholders and has since been named one of "America's Top 50 Women Litigators" by The National Law Journal and "Trial Lawyer of the Year" by the Texas chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. A nationally recognized expert on jury selection, Dr. Blue has presented over 350 lectures to legal and university groups. Her numerous publications on jury selection and psychology include "Inside a Juror's Mind" and ATLA's Blue's Guide to Jury Selection (coauthored by Robert Hirschhorn).
